I'm Engaged!!!!

Yes you read that right,I'm engaged...some of you may be wondering when did this happen? I've never mentioned a steady boyfriend much less plans of being married. Well to tell the truth I never thought I was ready for marriage until I entered the College of Ag. Many of my classmates are either engaged or already married, therefore I decided to give that way of life a strong consideration. I'll tell you the story of our love. We met back in DC while I was attending Howard University. When we first met I was very excited, I heard so many wonderful stories, but I had heard horror stories from exes also, I just knew that I had to find out for myself. Our relationship started off really well, but I soon realized that being at Howard wasn't meant for me, I voiced my desire to transfer and to my pleasure we kept our relationship up when I entered Virginia Tech. Though our relationship had has some serious lows, such as my spring semester freshman year when I just wanted our relationship to end, we kept dating. On March 29th in front many friends we decided to solidify our relationship.My education and I are engaged, I've got my class ring and on Saturday May 16th, 2009 we will become permanently attached until til death do us part. I had a few of you going didn't I...but to tell the truth working towards my degree has really felt like I've been in a serious relationship. I am working on the fourth year of our relationship, and though people such as the Virginia Tech Shooter, mean professors, & financial aid have tried to break us up, our love has endured. I look forward to that day when the whole world will know that my degree & I are together forever. See ya on May 16th. until next post smooches later

So I went home this weekend...I had so much fun...I miss my family so much sometimes, but while I was home I learned something about myself I can't live MY life for my family. Three states, One Girl

No, this is not the beginning of a bad joke. It's actually the beginning of a cool trip. I had a conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago. That was my first time in MA, while there I took the opportunity to check off a couple of additional NE states that I'd never been too. Depending on who you ask NY may or may not be considered NE but in any case previously I'd only been as far north as CT. With this trip I also saw NH & ME. I actually had to look up the abbreviation for Maine because I'd never been and couldn't remember what it was 😅.  Coastal Maine was beautiful. I've obviously been on the east coast waters before but seeing it as a lush green forestscape was another thing entirely. I definitely see why it's the setting of so many Stephen King stories, it's hauntingly beautiful. New Hampshire was a bit more rustic than I expected in the most delightful way.
