SLACKING on Life....but rocking it anyway

OK.....So I had all intentions on posting two days ago when I turned 21 but I have been so busy celebrating that I just haven't had the time to sit down in front of the computer to do it. So here is the month of November in review. I went on my first ever cruise....and it was the best time. It was about 17 of us all family (which I was a little unsure about at first) but it was great. I got to see a lighter side of my parents and a fun side to the rest of the fam....you can't go on a cruise and not have fun. The port of calls where, Labadee, Haiti...Montego Bay, Jamaica....Grand Caymans...and Cozumel, Mexico. It was so much fun, I ate so much, drank so much and even met a cousin of mine who works for the cruise line. Any one out there is cyberworld if you have never been on a cruise and you don't have horrible motion/sea sickness....YOU MUST DO IT. I cant wait to go on another though that is no where in the foreseeable future. Nonetheless it was a great way to start off the month of November which so happens to include my birthday, we will get to that later. This month also included another very special family trip, all the way back down to Miami to the wedding of my cousin. It was such a beautiful ceremony and I even had the privilege to participate though in only a small manner. The guest list only included about 60 or so people so it was a very intimate occasion that was really just for the pleasure of the family. It was still quite a wedding, as is true for any typical Jamaican wedding there was plenty of liquor and plenty of black cake. You know everyone was having a good time when even my mother was shaking her groove thing on the dance floor. I had to wipe my glasses 3x to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I didn't think anyone would believe me when I told them so I made sure to take not only photos but also a video just in case naysayers wanted to say she was just standing on the dance floor. I don't think I ate that much on the cruise, I was truly a little piggy at the wedding, but its all good I haven't seen any negative results so, Vie la Vida. Now onto what you've all been waiting for....THE 21st BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!!!!!

So originally I had this grand idea to do something that most people don't do ( a party bus). Basically the way the bus works is that alcohol, music, and seating is provided in a 20 person passenger bus, the bus serves a dual purpose of being your DD as well as your party. Also you have the option of having the bus take you to a nightclub and then return you home at the end of the night. How awesome that would have been, however due to circumstances beyond my control I didn't have all the money together to pay for it so I had to come up with an alternative. My alternative was a party at the most popular nightclub in DC....LOVE. I rented a VIP Booth on the most popular but largest floor, invited all my friends, and dance/drank the night away. It was exactly what I had planned but nothing could come close to the feeling of superiority and privilege I felt when I by passed the line that wrapped around the corner in the rain to be escorted to my table. It was AWESOME and so worth the money. I really did have a great time and I got some freaky cool presents to boot, and no there were not all alcohol related. In true Moe fashion, my bday didn't end on that night, NOPE part 2 will be tonight at one of the more popular local bars. I look forward to singing karaoke with my gal pals and drinking a bit....but not too much I have to go to work in the AM.....man my hands are tired from all the typing so I am taking it as a sign to stop now. November was sweet, December may be also we will have to see...but until next post...smooches laters
