Funny thing happened on the way to the Forum

Well actually it wasn't the forum but the greenhouse at work...and it wasn't funny "haha" it was more funny "hmmm". Details? Well this morning at work I realized that I had yet made a post for the month because it was a pretty quite month thus far. As I am walking to check on my greenhouse and pondering what to have my volunteers do I look up at the sky to see one of the most ominous looking clouds I have seen since the sky turned orange before a terrible storm.  I have a love/hate relationship with storms.  I think they are magical and I love magic but they are so violent too. Anyways I think to myself that I would hate to be inside my all metal greenhouse if a storm was to break out.  Well you know how people say that your words are powerful and you must be careful what you say?  Haha guess where the storm caught me? As I sat on the floor I figured I would work on my post and really take the time to reflect on this month. It couldn't have been as "boring"as I thought.Well loyal readers it was at that moment that I realized that so much had happened in the last few months that I have become adjusted to a fast paced lifestyle.  So again here is the bulleted highlights of the month of June.

Celeb sighting- Chris Colfer (Kurt from Glee) walking around the garden with  family
Year of Music-Pitbull & Ke$ha in concert
Family issues-Mom treated for cervical cancer
Life event-Mine & Jesse's one year anniversary
Work triumph-Successful spring with verbal commendation from CEO of the garden
Fun times- Went to my first foam party

So where does the "hmmm" come in you ask? Well here it is. Sometimes in life we are so busy trying to brave the storm that we forget to take time to reflect.

Three states, One Girl

No, this is not the beginning of a bad joke. It's actually the beginning of a cool trip. I had a conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago. That was my first time in MA, while there I took the opportunity to check off a couple of additional NE states that I'd never been too. Depending on who you ask NY may or may not be considered NE but in any case previously I'd only been as far north as CT. With this trip I also saw NH & ME. I actually had to look up the abbreviation for Maine because I'd never been and couldn't remember what it was 😅.  Coastal Maine was beautiful. I've obviously been on the east coast waters before but seeing it as a lush green forestscape was another thing entirely. I definitely see why it's the setting of so many Stephen King stories, it's hauntingly beautiful. New Hampshire was a bit more rustic than I expected in the most delightful way.
