October?

Oh hey there October! Where in the world did you come from? For the first time in 2 years I missed a month of posting (sorry September). That is how busy I have been. In my defense I did think about it....just a fleeting thought :-/. So what has been keeping me so busy? My three jobs! I work for an awesome Atlanta based  Popsicle company name King of Pops now in addition to ABG & Disney. I have had a not so secret love affair with KoP since I moved to Atlanta and bought one at a festival. When I found out that they need people to help get them through the end of their season I was on it like butter on popcorn! Even my garden coworkers couldn't think of a better pairing :)

So I have been mostly doing catered events after working at the garden which means long tiring days but all this work has helped me to put away a little change for stormy days. Another reason for all the working has been to distract me from things happening in DC I have no control over. My mother has been battling cervical cancer for the last 6 months and my grandmother recently had a mild stroke that has left her paralyzed in her right hand. Even as I write all this out it doesn't seem real. Avoidance is really the only way I can deal with it without overly affecting my work & personal life. Anyways for those of you out there with spiritual or religious feelings pray for us. I could use all the strength from any area I can get.

In more light hearted news my year of concerts has been going well though we are coming to the end soon. Eventually I will get my life together enough to post pictures starting with Maroon 5 & ending with P!nk (I think). Hopefully this has been an awesome update for you all. Until next post....laters!

So I went home this weekend...I had so much fun...I miss my family so much sometimes, but while I was home I learned something about myself I can't live MY life for my family. Three states, One Girl

No, this is not the beginning of a bad joke. It's actually the beginning of a cool trip. I had a conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago. That was my first time in MA, while there I took the opportunity to check off a couple of additional NE states that I'd never been too. Depending on who you ask NY may or may not be considered NE but in any case previously I'd only been as far north as CT. With this trip I also saw NH & ME. I actually had to look up the abbreviation for Maine because I'd never been and couldn't remember what it was 😅.  Coastal Maine was beautiful. I've obviously been on the east coast waters before but seeing it as a lush green forestscape was another thing entirely. I definitely see why it's the setting of so many Stephen King stories, it's hauntingly beautiful. New Hampshire was a bit more rustic than I expected in the most delightful way.
