Oh hey....it's almost February!
So today I decided to check my blog from a computer (usually I manage it from my phone), and in doing so I found I am not alone in slightly abandoning it! Of the 9 blogs on my "follow" list 3 haven't been updated since 2012 & 4 only have 2-3 posts in 2013. I must admit it felt sort of good to know that I was not alone in the struggle to keep blogging alive. Now the optimist in me would like to think that the lack of blogging is all due to my generation of peers walking away from the computer. Instead of blogging about their respective lives they are out there living it! In all actuality it is more likely that the blogger world has become so saturated that people have just given up knowing that there is a struggle to find an audience. How does one set themselves apart?
When I started this blog many moons ago, it was not about the readers. To me this blogs purpose was to keep my family and friends who may not have been on other social media outlets (i.e. Facebook, MySpace, etc.) an opportunity to keep up with what was going on with me. Now a days I use this blog to be a online diary. There are things that happen in my life that I want to remember, have a written record of and just an outlet for my thoughts. I honestly could care less if anyone reads this ever (but thank you to those who do) at any time.
I am sure I have written a similar post in the past, so forgive me for repeating myself but I want to make sure that it is known that all I want for myself and this blog is the chance to post something, anything at least once a month. Last year (2013) I made a list of resolutions but didn't actually write them here except for my Facebook reappearance. For 2014 I will get them down in print so that there is accountability. Here they are:
1) Travel to a new place once a month (i.e. Savannah, N.O., Blue Ridge etc.)
January: Kansas City, MO
February: Pittsburgh, PA?
March: Savannah, GA

2) Finish up year of concerts
Since I didn't actually go to my first concert last year wasn't until March 2013, this resolution
is from March to March instead of January to January. In that spirit here are the last 3 concert
on the docket : January (The Wailers), February (Imagine Dragons), March (Miley Cyrus).Once I finish with my year of concerts I will for reals this time post photos and commentary.

3) Take classes to help get my teaching certification.
4) Recommit to learning more & exploring Atlanta
I had the opportunity to take a job elsewhere and faced a big decision. After much thought and tears I came to one. I am satisfied with it but combined with that I am going keep learning more about the city that I call home.

5) Drink at least 64oz of water every day.
In the beginning I went to the bathroom like every 5 seconds but now not as much. Now my doctor won't yell at me about not being able to find my veins because I am partially dehydrated.

Now that I have done that, it's time to sign off, but before I do I want to share a celeb sighting I got in Orlando: Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Captain America) at a restaurant at WDW. Until next time blogger world.....laters
