2014: Closing Notes
So this year is ending differently than I expected. Yet this is not a surprise....in fact if it hadn't, it wouldn't be real life. I am looking forward to 2015. I always look forward to a new year because its so ripe with possibilities. This is also a great time to be uber reflective and decisive about the coming year.
What is different:
I am single now and back to dating, right now I have a really great guy in my life with potential to become more than a friend.
I have be somewhat promoted with the latest expansion at work there has been a large reshuffling of duties and some added opportunities that have become available.
Reflecting on my current state in life I have made a list of what I want to accomplish in the next 5 years, after all it's been that long since I graduated from college and thus now is the time to make sure I am in a place that I want to be and adjust if I am not (I'm close but not there yet).
What is staying the same:
My desire to get more into teaching and finding opportunities to do so.
My desire to remain unmarried and childless for as long as possible (for real, not kidding about this).
Making and sticking to as much as possible a set new years resolution.
General state of happiness no matter what crap life monkey throws at me.
So now that I have put into words all the stuff jumbled in my head (which sort of explains the lack of organization found in the post overall) time to put in writing 2015's theme. At a later date I will try to do a synopsis of 2014 (and no, that's not what this post is). Thinking of the last two years this year I will try to make my monthly post correlate to the year long goal instead of doing a final year long review. I feel that if I do this I will remember better all the high/lowlights and also add an accountability to posting and sticking to the schedule outlined.
2015: Year of North Georgia
This is a combination of a goal that I set for myself when I first moved to GA that got thrown to the wayside as well as keeping to the love of travel that I was able to explore this year. With this year's goal I want to be able to explore all the cool things in my own backyard, like going to play whirlyball ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whirlyball), hiking in the Blue Ridge, camping, whitewater rafting, zip lining and so forth.
As we enter into this new year together I look forward to sharing all of it with you....until next post..laters
