Thus far.....
It may be a bit premature to make notes on the progress of my 2015 goals but since one of them was to blog more regularly I figured I would kill two birds with one stone (hopefully the birds are chickens that I will then eat because otherwise this saying is unnecessarily violent, but I digress) via this post.
Here are a couple of things of note in regards to the goals:
Went to the library and picked up a new book entiled "Nine Inches" or something close to that. Since we are already half way through the month I have got to get cracking. The plus side to this is that I am a fast reader and the book in this case is only about 300 pages long. Score!
I have been hanging with various groups of friends recently and going on dates so I have made the utmost effort that if I am walking out of my house (and not going to work which doesn't count since I wear a uniform) I look great and put together. Originally the goal was to look decent but since joining instagram (@alwysmoe) & following fashion bloggers I have realized the potential found in my own closet! Plus I did a winter cleaning and got rid of a box full of clothes, shoes & accessories I no longer wear.
Touching on the above topic of cleaning out my closet, this month my treat to myself has been some new wardrobe pieces. Partly because I had a little spending cash, partly because I found a few new clothing websites that offer stuff for REAL cheap (10dollarmall.com, waiting on the delievery before commenting on the quality, fit, value etc.) to try out and partly because I got rid of so many items. I needed to add some basic pieces as well as a few statement pieces back into my closet.
Jim and I have had dinner & gone to the movies in the time I started focusing on the goals. I have also invited him to a few things I have been too even though he couldn't make it. So far so good. The key to this goal is consistency.
I have planned a group event for the end of the month and am slightly contemplating a double dose weekend. Right now on the 31st (down to the wire I know) I planned for us to go play whirlyball & laser tag. On the following day is the Superbowl & I was thinking of hosting a small party. The problem with that is the late notice. Most people probably have plans but what about those that don't? I'll run it by Jim maybe he knows of a group of friends who already have plans and we can piggyback on those. Or I could throw a valentine's day party since it's my FAVORITE!
It's been good catching up on my own personal life, hope you enjoyed it!
Until next post!
