Captain's Blog: Finish Line

So it seems as though I've only been in the UK for a few months but actually it's been almost 9 months. In that time, I've traveled more than I have in my life, made friends from all over the world and really started to appreciate that I have the best network of family and friends anyone could have. As my time here comes closer to its end, I could not be any happier that I took this leap. I wasn't sure it would be worth it to leave the life I had setup for myself and the path I was dedicated to but these last few months have helped me grow so much. I honestly believe I am a better person than I was when I got here, for all the trials, tribulations and triumphs. Here are a few pics of my latest UK adventures, looking forward to see what is next.

Just gotta be me

So I went home this weekend...I had so much fun...I miss my family so much sometimes, but while I was home I learned something about myself I can't live MY life for my family. Three states, One Girl

No, this is not the beginning of a bad joke. It's actually the beginning of a cool trip. I had a conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago. That was my first time in MA, while there I took the opportunity to check off a couple of additional NE states that I'd never been too. Depending on who you ask NY may or may not be considered NE but in any case previously I'd only been as far north as CT. With this trip I also saw NH & ME. I actually had to look up the abbreviation for Maine because I'd never been and couldn't remember what it was 😅.  Coastal Maine was beautiful. I've obviously been on the east coast waters before but seeing it as a lush green forestscape was another thing entirely. I definitely see why it's the setting of so many Stephen King stories, it's hauntingly beautiful. New Hampshire was a bit more rustic than I expected in the most delightful way.
