Summa Summa Time

Second only to Fall, Summer is one of my favorites. Music Festivals, Parties, Pools, Day drinking until 8pm, lazy Sundays and midweek adventures.  Summer time has it all. It helps that my Anniversary is on the first official day of summer.

This past month I have had one of the best summer kick offs ever.  This includes my summer trips to Australia & Italy and last year's jumbo European adventure.  I presented at a national conference for the first time and KILLED. Got to spend time with my family, my niece is as tall as I am and amazingly talented. This is the summer before my nephew enters his senior year and I'm also in awe of the AMAZING person he is. I attended my first camping music festival in Dover, DE and danced the night away with Panic! At the Disco, Walk the Moon, AJR,  TLC, Zedd, Dashboard Confessional and so many more. To top it off I hung out with old friends and made new ones...including the 23 year old from Philly who just spent time with me, danced and then offered to buy me a drink. Looks like I've still got it. 😂😂😂😂.

J & I have been living together for about a month now and though we've had our challenges, we're continuing to grow together and that makes me happy. I think the peak of this summer thus far though has to be attending my 10 year reunion from VT. I made life long friends in college and that was solidified in my heart when they witnessed me at my best and my worst and still love me.  I'm thankful for them. I'm thankful for my life.  I'm content.

Now to find a pool to lay by and drink beer.

Just gotta be me

So I went home this weekend...I had so much fun...I miss my family so much sometimes, but while I was home I learned something about myself I can't live MY life for my family. Three states, One Girl

No, this is not the beginning of a bad joke. It's actually the beginning of a cool trip. I had a conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago. That was my first time in MA, while there I took the opportunity to check off a couple of additional NE states that I'd never been too. Depending on who you ask NY may or may not be considered NE but in any case previously I'd only been as far north as CT. With this trip I also saw NH & ME. I actually had to look up the abbreviation for Maine because I'd never been and couldn't remember what it was 😅.  Coastal Maine was beautiful. I've obviously been on the east coast waters before but seeing it as a lush green forestscape was another thing entirely. I definitely see why it's the setting of so many Stephen King stories, it's hauntingly beautiful. New Hampshire was a bit more rustic than I expected in the most delightful way.
