Embracing the flavors of life

It's amazing how alert you can be on 3 hours of sleep and a bright computer screen. The other night I went out to do a bit of partying in Downtown Orlando with my roomie and a friend. If you have seen my previous postings you already know how I feel about these excursions...it's not that I hate them or love them for that matter.. I just have truly started to realize the breadth of the individuality of each experience I have in the Other World that is DT Otown. On my last excursion to the underbelly of DT, I ended up at an establishment know as Eye Spy which can only be truly described as a haven for the "Others" or persons that don't normally fit well into any social class we have already established i.e. the Mean Girls, the Punk Kids, the Hood Rats, the Goths etc. but actually display characteristics of multiple groups which instead of prompting the human mind into thinking "maybe this classism we have developed over the ions may not a worthwhile endeavor but actually a loose thread in the fabric of life threatening to shred all positive ideals and burst of individuality" actually forces us to put them into a nondescript grouping which satisfies that perpetual need to group and organize. Such others can be exemplified by individuals like the Afro-American chick with the Afro, dashiki and multitudes of tattoos or by the skinny jean, tight tee punk rock guy jamming out to Ludacris & Aerosmith within 2 minutes of each other. It was within this mosh posh environment that I came to the realization that these are my people. The unclassifiable, this is who I am to be. For in the end the question then becomes why should I sedate you by fitting into what can only be conceived as a contrite ideal of who I am when I would truly find more entertainment being not only what you think would be opposite even to go as far as being totally off of your personality defining radar. Stew on that for a bit...more to come
