Dang it All!!

Is it possible to have blog envy? I believe so because right now I am greener than Kermit and a Platinum LEED Certification (Hahahaha I made an environmental joke). I know that it is totally irrational but truth moment: I am slightly enraged. I have been blogging for years (about 5 to be exact) before blogging was cool and I have yet to capture the charm, witty commentary or general audience that some of my peers have. Granted this can be attributed to many factors namely my abandon of traditional social media i.e. Facebook, faliure to grasp the technical finess of editing, the journalistic style of my writing, and lack of proper grammatical use (hey I have never pretended I was good at sentence formation...let's just be thankful I am not teaching our youths and move on) being key factors. So what brings this up you wonder? I just recently started following one of my girlfriends blogs (Atlmegan.blogspot.com, btw this is the only way I know how to "link" to another blog...leave me alone) and not only is she funny, witty and straight to the point her blog is easy to read to boot! Gosh I hate her!!! In all honesty I enjoying reading what she has to say and wonder if the two readers I have enjoy me as much as I have enjoyed her. In all honesty as much as I use my blog as a vehicle to voice what is on my mind, I still long to share it. My blog is my cheap therapy and I want readers to get something from it because I know I do. I want this blog to be a symbiotic relationship. With all that said....I think I'll get over my jealousy and stick to my style. After all if I'm not being me...who will be??? Until next post.....laters!

I know exactly how you feel! There are people who have made blogs and have 500 followers in 6 months, while I've been going almost 2 years and haven't hit 100 (and I consider myself a good writer!) A lot of people go out of their way to promote their blogs. I'm not in to all that. You may only have 2 readers but at least you know those 2 really care what you have to say instead of 100s of people who really don't and will find every chance to criticize you. The conments sections of some of those popular blogs are off the chain!!!
