Things that I love.....or at least trying to

So as you all know I am hard at work trying to stick to the goals I have set for myself in 2015. I am working on trying to refrain from calling them "resolutions" because even though they do require resolve to achieve, many "resolutions" tend to fall by the wayside half way through the year if not half way through the month of January. Nonetheless here I am yet again checking in and keeping accountable with those goals. For a refresher check out my post from January 6th. Soooo time for a status update: This came from my kitchen last night and I made it. I ate it and didn't die. I shared it with others, they also did not die. Cooking win!: Sweet Potato Mini Pies with Homemade Graham Cracker Crust Finished Product! As apart of my Georgia exploring goal went on a hike to Arabia Mountain, I was so proud of LJ! He did the entire 5 1/2 mile moderate hike without me having to carry him once. I'm only holding him in this picture because he is so tiny ...

Hurricane Hemmings!!!

Waddup Blogger World! So as many of you know, my parents have come to Atlanta for a visit to which I have been affectionately refering to as "Hurricane Hemmings". We will be going to The World Of Coca-Cola , Centennial Olympic Park , Mary Mac's Tea Room , The Atlanta Botanical Garden , Stone Mountain Park, Atlantic Station and a few other stops here and there. I'm cramming a lot into a 4 day visit but again I cannot stress enough how this is my version of "batting down the hatches" for this hurricane. Hopefully I will survive, bu...

Pint-size Picasso

So a girlfriend of mine who abandoned me and moved to Rhode Island (do black people live there?) came down this weekend for a visit. She had the genius idea to head to a place called "Sips & Strokes". The concept isn't new but I loved it nonetheless. I have never thought that I was the most artistic person but you would have fooled me once you glazed upon the final product. I even think that the painting got better every time I had another glass of wine. I would definately do again...can I get a whoop whoop for pint size picasso!!
