A Day in the Life of a Master(s) of Education

It's almost time for the 26 World Cup.  1 Continent. 3 Countries. 16 Cities.  48 Teams. 1 Winner. Atlanta is not ready but I sure am. I'll have the opportunity to volunteer and I am stoked. I picked up my uniform today and it really solidified that this is happening.  And I get to be in the room where it happens. I look forward to a summer of soccer, fun and adventure.  Until next post.....laters

No, this is not the beginning of a bad joke. It's actually the beginning of a cool trip. I had a conference in Boston a couple of weeks ago. That was my first time in MA, while there I took the opportunity to check off a couple of additional NE states that I'd never been too. Depending on who you ask NY may or may not be considered NE but in any case previously I'd only been as far north as CT. With this trip I also saw NH & ME. I actually had to look up the abbreviation for Maine because I'd never been and couldn't remember what it was 😅.  Coastal Maine was beautiful. I've obviously been on the east coast waters before but seeing it as a lush green forestscape was another thing entirely. I definitely see why it's the setting of so many Stephen King stories, it's hauntingly beautiful. New Hampshire was a bit more rustic than I expected in the most delightful way. I got the opportunity to check another continent off of my list. I traveled to Buenos Aires & South America to explore culture, food, wine and more. Though my Spanish skills leave much to be desired, the wonders of technology allowed me to experience so much at my leisure. I spent some time with my nephew,  drank tons of wine, danced Tango & had such a beautiful time. The people of BA were kind, thoughtful,  helpful and I cannot wait for the opportunity to go back and explore more of not only Argentina but of South America. Here are some photos from the trip.   I ran my first 10-miler and much like it's namesake, Tower of Terror, it was full of ups, downs, tears, screams and joy 🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️ Right around the 8 mile mark, I could barely sustain a running pace and it sucked. But I had My friend/coach  right beside me. And complete strangers/runners checking in on me. And folx chEARing me on. And I got to see Cast Member friends along the course. 🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️ This was not my first RunDisney  event but it was the first time I've been on this run part of RunDisney My main goals were to keep going, stick with my friend and not let the balloon ladies catch me. 🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️ I may have scared a few folx with my very loud yelling once I crossed the finish line, but it didn't matter because once that ride was done I was reminded that my body is enough 🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️ Going to share some photos from the race and reward...better known as Eating and Drinking around the world a la Epcot's Flower and Gard...

It's about that time again. The anniversary of my birth. I'm stuck on what to do to celebrate. It's another year that I survived and thrived. What garners a good celebration of that? Another tattoo? A quick trip? Fancy dinner? Watching my favorite shows or movies? Dance party? All of the aforementioned?  Still trying to figure it out...much like life itself.  I don't hate my life but there's always more I could be doing to live it to the fullest.  I have made one promise to myself.  This is the year that I am fully honest with my parents about my life. Dear reader (do I still even have any?) the older I get the closer to death they get. Not trying to be intentionally morbid just honest with myself and you. My parents will die. I will be devastated. I'll be even more devastated if it happened and they didn't know all the things I think they should about me.  In the past I've tried to wait to have these "tell all" talks in person.  However,  time...
