A Day in the Life of a Master(s) of Education

August is almost over and boy has it been a whirlwind. Between traveling for work (Chicago, Philadephia & Orlando), visiting family (DC) and even a vacation or two (gasp 😜 hello Walt Disney World), it's been hectic. There was even a celeb sighting thrown in there for good measure, Jason Segel from How I Met Your Mother. So it is June, time to do a check up on my goals for 2015. To refresh your memory  here are the goals and their associated updates: Organize one group activity a month (game night, dinner, sporting event,  etc) This goal has been going very well. Generally I plan the activity for later in the month so that people have time to plan and add it to their calendars. So far my favorite activities have been Whirlyball and Karaoke. Hang with Jim once a week (even if it's only an invite & he can't do it) This one has been a bit harder to accomplish mostly due to my work schedule,  however he has attended most group activities and is generally available to chill if and when I have free time...I will work more on this goal in the coming months Read 1 book a month This is probably  my most successful goal thus far. Oh hey there October! Where in the world did you come from? For the first time in 2 years I missed a month of posting (sorry September). That is how busy I have been. In my defense I did think about it....just a fleeting thought :-/. So what has been keeping me so busy? My three jobs! I work for an awesome Atlanta based  Popsicle company name King of Pops  now in addition to ABG & Disney. I have had a not so secret love affair with KoP since I moved to Atlanta and bought one at a festival. When I found out that they need people to help get them through the end of their season I was on it like butter on popcorn! Even my garden coworkers couldn't think of a better pairing :) So I have been mostly doing catered events after working at the garden which means long tiring days but all this work has helped me to put away a little change for stormy days. This new song by rapper Wiz Khalifa "Work Hard, Play Hard" has a verse that pretty much summarizes my life and related goals. I have liked Wiz for a while but sometimes have a hard time listening to his non-radio cuts. I like his mixtapes but being a girl I got to be in the right mindset otherwise it's a little manly and not enough "poppy". This song is on his latest studio album and I would swaer on the Bible that he wrote it for me. I love the whole song and the hook is nice, but when I heard the last verse I was sold.
