A Day in the Life of a Master(s) of Education

Atlanta is not a real place..this is a common saying for those (especially the Black ones) who have lived here for any length of time. The reasoning behind this is because the type of stuff that happens often stretches the realm of possibility.  Things like a panhandler dressed as Batman at the intersection of very busy road. I recently experienced one such incident and it also yielded a celebrity sighting.  I stopped posting about celeb sightings a while ago because honestly a lot of them live in and around Atlanta 😅. Elton John had a home here. T-Pain lives in Smyrna. Of course, Usher, TLC, Ludacris etc. Along those same veins, I was driving by my local car wash and who do I see? Ceelo Green (Goodie Mob). Mind you it's less that I SAW Ceelo and moreso WHERE I saw him. I take my car to SOAP. So, you mean to tell me that celebs are just like us? Yeah, Atlanta is not a real place. August is almost over and boy has it been a whirlwind. Between traveling for work (Chicago, Philadephia & Orlando), visiting family (DC) and even a vacation or two (gasp 😜 hello Walt Disney World), it's been hectic. There was even a celeb sighting thrown in there for good measure, Jason Segel from How I Met Your Mother. So today I  decided to check my blog from a computer (usually I manage it from my phone), and in doing so I found I am not alone in slightly abandoning it! Of the 9 blogs on my "follow" list 3 haven't been updated since 2012 & 4 only have 2-3 posts in 2013. I must admit it felt sort of good to know that I was not alone in the struggle to keep blogging alive. Now the optimist in me would like to think that the lack of blogging is all due to my generation of peers walking away from the computer. Instead of blogging about their respective lives they are out there living it! In all actuality it is more likely that the blogger world has become so saturated that people have just given up knowing that there is a struggle to find an audience. How does one set themselves apart? When I started this blog many moons ago, it was not about the readers. Good Morning Blogger World!! So I am currently in Otown with Jim & LJ visiting Amanda and Jarrod for my Bday weekend or as I refer to it: the 25th Anniversary of My Appearance on Earth. It's official I can rent a car in all 50 states and my car insurance rates will now start to decrease. Wahoo! 25 was definitely a good one....I am happy in my career, my love life is on track, I have great friends and an alright dog. This is feeling like a steady incline if I do say so myself. On my actual birthday (Thursday) it was all about Dave & Busters (well only because my first choice was a failure) and we had a great time. I tried to beat everyone on the Midway but that was not the case. Alas it didn't matter because I looked good, ate a cupcake or two and had a great time with people I kinda like a whole lot. Anyways while at Disney I took advantage of checking out the New Fantasyland (or at least the parts that were open) and wouldn't you know it....I got celeb sighting nu...
