 I feel as though I make a Valentine's related post every year. And maybe I do. I just really love love and I enjoy spreading it via small notes to people. This year, I got a lot of response from folx along the lines of "I really needed this" or "This came at the right time" or "Thank you for the love". You know living & life can be so heavy. I've found over the years that writing each card or text or note has helped me to take a moment to not only reflect on that person and what they mean but also on my relationship wit the world. Even if no one ever responded to a single card or message, taking the time to spread a little love really helps ME to manage in this oft times dark place. 💓😍💓 Until next post, laters

Valentine's Day has long been a treasured holiday in my mind. I see a world so full of anger and hate on a daily basis that I heavily and unabashedly bby into the idea that for one day we can celebrate love. With this day now just a remnant in the minds of most I sit here and think of more things that embodies love. I love my family for all of their faults, like how my mother's idea of finding me a husband includes a trip to Jamaica i.e. "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" or how my nephew starts high school this year and isn't worried in the least because he already has a strong sense of self (shout out to his parents for that). I love my beau who is passionate and confident in the things that make him happy especially composing and playing music. I love my friends who take the time to sit on the couch with me and watch horribly stupid people do mindless things for a few hours so that we can decompress. So as you all know I am hard at work trying to stick to the goals I have set for myself in 2015. I am working on trying to refrain from calling them "resolutions" because even though they do require resolve to achieve, many "resolutions" tend to fall by the wayside half way through the year if not half way through the month of January. Nonetheless here I am yet again checking in and keeping accountable with those goals. For a refresher check out my post from January 6th. Hey there Blogger World!!! As we approach my all time favorite holiday. ...I felt the need to do an update just in case I don't make it here on VDay itself. In the last couple of weeks since my accident and subsequent post in relation to it a lot has happened. Highlights include Jim's birthday and celebration as well as a promotion (for me)!!! I am now a senior horticulturist in charge of the Edible Garden. Pretty exciting and something I have been working towards. I will miss the Children's Garden though. Bonus is that my new garden is literally just down hill from the kiddie garden so I can always just look up at it for inspiration.  For Jim's birthday we ended up going down to Orlando/Tampa. We had a pretty epic time which included a couple of brewery tours, clubbing, Disney and a lazy river. I must say that I'm proud of Borsella....he kept up with Jim and I.
