A Day in the Life of a Master(s) of Education

Moe-vember was one for the books. First I celebrated with a RenFest celebration at the first ever Fall Fling.  The weather was beautiful,  the mead was flowing and the vibes were immaculate. Birthday/Black Friday treat to myself? Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. Then we went on a Bahamian cruise (Celebrity Silhouette). Then we spent a few days with J's family and spent more time at the beach. And then we went to my favorite park and just hung out and caught up with friends. This year has been full of new adventures, old favorites, lessons learned and lots of laughs. Thank you to everyone who celebrated Moe-vember (extended til December 7th 😅) with me and followed along. I'm a lucky girlie to be surrounded by so many folks who love and care about lil ol' me. Until next post...laters

I wanna remember this so I'm writing it down. On Saturday I celebrated my RenFest birthday and it was awesome. I ate, drank, laughed and danced. Afterwards,  I went to see Leafblower ATL play a show.  At this point I've now been shenaniganing since 2pm and it's now 1:30a. I head home to shower/nap because I have to be at MBS by 3am (that turned out to be a lie 🙃) to ride a bus to Orlando for the MLS Conference Semifinal.  The bus broke down (after issues with the heat & A/C, multiple stops, skipping the Cracker Barrel food stop, in addition to being over an hour late to pick us up at MBS) about 15 minutes away from the tailgate. We had to send the other bus ahead, wait for it to come back, and load up everything onto one bus. Then, of course, the Fox Bros boxed lunch food never arrived & we had to shuttle to/from the stadium. After the game, we had our customary 30 mins hold (that was actually 45 minutes). They still hadn't sorted out the bus situation fully,...

Celebrating my dad's 80th birthday this week. Took a quick trip to visit them, take them to watch baseball & soccer, eat good food and visit the pandas at the zoo. When folx heard what we were celebrating they went out of their way to make it special. We got extra tickets to 1 baseball game (so my sister-cousin & niece could come), suite access for the 2nd baseball game AND field seats for the soccer game. I truly cannot top this birthday and we had a blast. Gonna share some photos. Until next post....laters

Welp another trip around the sun done! This year was a bit lower key but I did do a beer bus with a few friends. It featured 8 local breweries(& a cidery). It was a hop on hop off situation so friends could come and go as they pleased. I've officially moved into the next age range tier for surveys so finding a way to make peace with that. This past year wasn't my best but it also wasn't the worst so that will do. My Spotify Wrapped came out the day after my birthday so I feel it's worth sharing the soundtrack to my year. It's about that time again. The anniversary of my birth. I'm stuck on what to do to celebrate. It's another year that I survived and thrived. What garners a good celebration of that? Another tattoo? A quick trip? Fancy dinner? Watching my favorite shows or movies? Dance party? All of the aforementioned?  Still trying to figure it out...much like life itself.  I don't hate my life but there's always more I could be doing to live it to the fullest.  I have made one promise to myself.  This is the year that I am fully honest with my parents about my life. Dear reader (do I still even have any?) the older I get the closer to death they get. Not trying to be intentionally morbid just honest with myself and you. My parents will die. I will be devastated. I'll be even more devastated if it happened and they didn't know all the things I think they should about me.  In the past I've tried to wait to have these "tell all" talks in person.  However,  time...
